Meaning:contributed by Frederick Samuel
pallavi

Hear, my friend! My heart overwhelms and my body melts even when a passer Ð by utters the name of Lord Muruga, the divine husband of VaLLi.

caraNam 1

Hear, my friend! The kumkuma Ð colored Lord Kumara (another name for Muruga) is the one who fills the entire world with his divine presence. We think that he is easily comprehensive; but actually he is not.

caraNam 2

Oh! My dear friend! Thinking that I am writing a beautiful letter to VadivEla (Muruga) who dwells on hills, I started scribbling down! My mind has gone mad for him!

caraNam 3

Hear, my friend! The one who is called ÔVElaÕ(Muruga) has left me behind and went away in the dark woods, whose ground is covered by wild creepers all over.
