Vasudevanallur Subbiah Bhagavatar - also known as “Pallavi” Subbaiah Bhagavatar for his expertise in singing pallavi, he was a disciple of Maha Vaidyanatha Bhagavatar (and therefore in the line of Muttuswamy Dikshitar's disciples). His son VS Gomathisankara Iyer played veena and served as Head of the Department of Music, Annamalai University.
