Neither Arul nor Anjali wanted to succumb to their parents’ pestering about getting married, because, though online sites claimed otherwise, both believed in the sort of love that occurs organically.
At a Bharatanatyam arangetram they both attended, each separately inquired about the dessert, because both were vegan. Each was told, “This rasgulla is milk-based, but there’s a dessert for vegans, if you can find the caterer.”
The caterer was just telling Arul “I brought two vegan semiya payasam desserts, made with coconut milk,” when Anjali walked up.
The desserts had takers, and Arul and Anjali’s parents could finally be content.
