Meaning: RAma, the soul of the Universe! Transcendent and omnipresent Lord. Come to my succour. One who is worshipped by Shiva, the god of celestial spirits. Reliever of the burning sins of devotees. You are the sustainer of all the planets, worshipped by the celestials and sages, you are the bestower of the just desires of good men. You are the sun who cures the hearts of Yogis to blossom. You recline on the cozy coils of AdisEsha, with eyes radiating grace. You grant salvation to Yogis who succeed in controlling their senses. You are demonstrable by the Vedas and Upanishads. You are the protector of those well-versed in the Vedas. I know of no shelter, no refuge, but in you, O spouse of Shri! You are the essence of all that is worthy. You are the hero who helps to cross the ocean of SamsAra. As the universal soul, you are certainly aware of my need, of my worth.
